How do choices and attempts work?

Choose a suggested response, or write your own intention where the story offers it. Say what your character tries to do or asks. The world’s response depends on the scene, the actions that edition supports and what has already happened.

A request can meet an answer, a refusal or another consequence. Asking someone to trust you does not make them agree; asking to inspect something does not decide what you find. Story follows an authored arc, while Creative allows the exploration supported by that edition.

Review intention lets you examine an approach before committing. The story advances when you choose to continue and the resulting passage is accepted. An unfinished passage is not saved history.

What does the story remember, and what can Guide tell me?

Your saved journey keeps accepted passages and choices. New scenes draw on recorded facts and relevant parts of that history. A generated passage or Guide answer can still miss or misread a detail; the saved passages remain there for you to check.

Where available, open Notes, then Story and What you’ve learned. Observed means something your character witnessed; Reported means something they were told; Inferred means a conclusion rather than an established fact. Each entry links back to its passage. Knowing something yourself does not mean every character knows it.

Guide helps with names, places and events your character has already learned about. It does not reveal unseen events or future answers, and asking it a question does not make a story choice. Use these Help answers for how reading, accounts and credits work.

What is private, and what becomes part of my character?

Your sign-in account holds your journeys and purchases. Your character is the person you play in a particular journey. Signing in does not give story characters your account details.

The character name and any supported beginning or appearance you choose belong to that journey. The private background note in character settings and your personal Notes are for you; they do not teach characters facts, grant abilities or change the story.

Words you submit as a story intention are different from private Notes: they become part of the action you ask the story to consider. Changing character defaults later affects new journeys, not the character and history already saved in an existing one.

What happens when my free reading runs out?

Where a daily allowance is available, it applies to the reading options shown as eligible. The reader shows the remaining uses and reset time. An unresolved request can hold a use while its saved status is checked.

When those uses are spent or reserved, your story stays saved. You can return after the displayed reset or choose an available credit-funded option. Running out of free uses does not automatically approve a paid scene: review the credit cost and confirm before continuing.

Credits are reserved when you confirm and spent when the new passage is saved. An uncertain result can remain reserved while it is checked. You can cancel the confirmation, reread saved passages without spending credits, or open Credits to see the offers currently available to your account.

What is Collection, and where can I use an item?

Library holds your stories and saved progress. Collection holds things you own or earn: an adventure to enter, a character appearance, or a keepsake from a story.

An appearance changes your character’s portrait in the compatible editions listed on its item. Open one of those stories, choose Customize your start, and select the appearance. You can reuse an owned appearance in new journeys there; existing journeys keep the appearance and history they started with.

Use the same account to find your owned items. Compatibility is specific: owning a coat does not put it into every world. Each offer must show its contents, supported stories and any separate reading cost before purchase.

Can I reread a completed journey?

Yes. Use Reread in Library or at the end of your journey to return to its saved opening. Rereading accepted passages does not spend credits or replace your choices.

To make different choices, begin a separate journey. Any access or generation cost for that new journey is shown where it applies. Your earlier journey stays in Library.

Are credit purchases refundable?

Credit purchases are final and non-refundable, except where required by law. There is no money-back guarantee or routine refund for unused credits.

A generated passage spends credits only when it is accepted. If the outcome is still being checked, its credits may stay reserved until the saved status is known. Report an incorrect charge or delivery problem using the support form below.

Why hasn’t my credit balance updated?

Return to Credits in the same account and tab. Use Check purchase status before starting another checkout. Returning from checkout alone does not add credits: the purchase must be confirmed.

If payment is not confirmed, use Resume previous checkout only when it appears, or Check purchase status again. Close unfinished checkout asks to close an unpaid checkout; it does not request a refund. After confirmation, use Refresh credit balance.

A reversed payment may leave new credit reservations unavailable while it needs review. Rechecking does not resolve that review. You can save an account-private request below, but it does not reverse a payment. Any balance labeled test credits or sandbox is not a live purchase.

My Collection purchase hasn’t appeared. What next?

Return to Collection in the same account and tab, then use Check purchase status. A checkout return link does not grant an item. Confirmation and access come from the saved purchase.

If the check fails, check again before buying. Resume checkout continues the pending purchase; Retry checkout, when offered, retries the same request. Close unfinished checkout is for an unpaid checkout, not a refund.

A reversed purchase or one needing support review is not resolved by buying again. You can save an account-private request below; it does not reverse a payment. For a confirmed gift, use View sent gifts; the recipient chooses whether to accept it.

What help is available here?

You can search these answers and use the recovery controls in your story, Credits or Collection. For a missing journey, check that you are signed in to the account you used to begin it, then return to your library.

Below, you can save an account-private support request or report a payment problem and check its receipt. Saving it does not reverse a payment or guarantee a response; staffed response coverage has not been established. A purchase marked as needing review remains unresolved until it is reviewed.

What are Story and Creative?

Story follows an authored arc through the choices a world supports. Creative offers the exploration supported by that edition. A world’s page and the reader show the modes and actions available there.

Your intention is an attempt, not a guaranteed outcome. Follow the approaches the reader offers; writing an outcome does not make it part of the story.

How does my character enter a story?

When an available story begins, Avenrah uses your saved character details. You can choose Customize your start for a separate beginning. Changes to your defaults apply to new journeys; your existing character stays with the story you started.

Where is my progress saved?

Your accepted story choices belong to your signed-in reader account. Use the same account when you return. Reading appearance and your exact scrolling position are kept on this browser.

What if a choice seems stuck?

Use Check saved status when the reader offers it. That checks the original action before asking you to move on. A connection problem does not necessarily mean your last choice was lost.

Follow the recovery controls shown for that request rather than starting the same action again.

Can I change how the story looks?

Open Reader options, then Reading settings, for typeface, text size, line spacing and illustrations. The story remains available as text when illustrations are off.

How can I report something in a story?

Use Report passage beneath the passage you want to flag. For the latest scene, you can also open Reader options and choose Report. Select a problem type, describe the concern, then choose Record private report.

The report stays tied to that journey and scene. Reopen the report panel and use Refresh review status to check its recorded status. Reporting or resolving a report does not rewrite your saved passages.

Why can’t I begin every world?

The collection includes worlds still in development. Reading opens for an edition after its story, artwork and release reviews. A world’s page shows whether you can begin.

How do I find a story I already started?

Open Library while signed in to the account you used for that journey. Choose the saved journey you want to continue, rather than beginning another.

Search by world, character or path name across your collection. Narrow the results by mode, reading status or world, and sort by newest, oldest or title. Results appear twelve at a time; use Previous, Next or the page number and Go to reach another page.

If new reading is unavailable but your saved passages can still be opened, choose Read saved passages. That lets you reread your history without making another choice.

Does reviewing an intention make a choice?

No. Review intention shows the approaches available for your words without advancing the story or charging for a turn. You still choose an approach before continuing.

Where a cost confirmation is shown, review it separately before confirming.

How do I start creating a world?

Visit For creators for the current entry and access options. A reader account does not automatically grant creator access. Creator admission and approval of a story for publication are separate.
